Murree is a long ridge of towns and villages rather than one neat centre, and where you sleep changes the whole trip. Here is how the main areas compare so you can choose with confidence.
Mall Road and the town centre
Mall Road is the heart of Murree. You can walk to restaurants, shops and Pindi Point, and the atmosphere is lively, especially in the evening. The trade-off is traffic and noise on weekends and during snowfall, when the centre can be congested. Stay here if walking everywhere matters more to you than peace and quiet.
Bhurban
Bhurban is further from the centre and noticeably calmer, with pine forest, golf and wide valley views. It suits families who want space, parking and quiet mornings. You will drive to the Mall for dinner, which most guests are happy to do.
Patriata (New Murree)
Patriata is known for its chairlift and cable car and sweeping views across the hills. It is a short drive from the main town and works well for day outings combined with a quiet evening.
Jhika Gali, Lower Topa and Ghora Gali
These smaller communities have less traffic and often the best forest views. They are a good choice for couples and for guests who simply want to rest.
